Western Airlines - Hoodie
Western Airlines was a major U.S. airline based in California, operating primarily in the Western United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Mexico, Canada, and international destinations like London and Nassau. Founded in 1925 as Western Air Express, it later became Western Airlines in 1941 after several mergers and name changes. Western had hubs at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Salt Lake City International Airport. Known for its slogan, "Western Airlines...The Only Way to Fly!", the airline thrived until U.S. airline deregulation in 1978, after which it downsized to two main hubs. In 1987, Western Airlines was acquired by Delta Air Lines.
