Lone Star Airlines - Mug

$16.13 CAD

Lone Star Airlines was originally founded in 1984 as Exec Express Inc. in Stillwater, Oklahoma, before moving its headquarters to Fort Worth, Texas, in 1987. Initially operating as Exec Express Commuter Airlines, the company later became Exec Express II Inc. and used the brand names Lone Star Airlines and Aspen Mountain Air. To combine both brands, the airline created a third name, "Aspen Mountain Air/Lone Star Airlines." It became a code-sharing partner with American Airlines and Frontier Airlines, serving 21 cities across 8 states, including international routes to Mexico from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

However, by 1998, financial difficulties led the airline to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on August 7, 1998. It was liquidated by October of the same year. Some of its assets and staff were transferred to Air Wisconsin, while certain routes were taken over by Big Sky Airlines.
