Air Florida - Hoodie
Air Florida was a U.S. low-cost carrier that operated from 1972 to 1984, initially as an intrastate airline based at Miami International Airport. It expanded rapidly after U.S. airline deregulation, growing beyond Florida to the Northeast, the Caribbean, Central America, and Europe, using larger aircraft like DC-8s and DC-10s for long-haul routes. By 1981, the airline had a fleet of DC-9s, 737s, and a DC-10, showing solid profits in 1979 and 1980. However, following a high-profile crash in Washington, D.C., in 1982, Air Florida struggled financially and eventually declared bankruptcy in 1984.
